According to this, the more time you spend sitting, the more likely you are to die early. But this is not the most troubling part. That dubious honour is reserved to the fact this is still true regardless of whether you exercise regularly, are not overweight, etc. I mean, all those help improve the situation (i.e. decrease of odds of untimely death), but that’s still a lot higher for those of us that spend most of the day sitting on our butts, than for those who don’t.
I now that all these studies have to be taken with a grain of salt, but it’s a troublesome scenario nonetheless. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go work out.
